Home Style Design
Karen has been designing and decorating since 2002. Her entry into the field started by accident as friends, knowing her love of art and eye for creating visually appealing and interesting spaces, asked her to decorate their homes. So she learned the business, starting primarily with window coverings, and it blossomed from there.
Her goal is, no matter the budget, to create a beautiful space that looks evolved over time rather than “decorated” and reflects the owners’ taste and lifestyle.
The Design Challenge
Contemporary meets Tuscan. The direction was going literal Tuscan, complete with wrought iron grape vines, to meet the husband’s taste while completely ignoring the wife’s more contemporary style.
To transition to a style that stayed true to the more traditional foundation of the home and the husband’s taste while incorporating a contemporary aesthetic that pleased both.
Two distinct styles can be married in a way that honors both without compromising the foundation of the home or the style sense of the owners.
