Elizabeth Aaron Interior Design
I received my graduate degree at New York School of Interior Design in 1994. Having been in the industry for 20 years gives me the advantage of having seen it all. Every project has its challenges and an experienced designer knows how to problem solve. I’ve developed a team of honorable vendors and contractors who are excellent troubleshooters whom I rely on. I believe the best results come from working collaboratively.
The Design Challenge
The challenge was to update a 12,000 square foot home stuck in the 1990’s without breaking the bank.
My goal was to give the client her desired aesthetic bearing in mind that purchases needed to be well-priced and durable to withstand the daily use of her school-age children.
Design is a constant tug of war between form and function. The key is to understand your client’s vision, help them prioritize and be honest about what’s feasible.
